Rebecca Pucket was walking along the beach at sunrise when she spotted something unusual in the surf. What looked like a shark fin turned into an extraordinary rescue mission after she realized a massive great white had become stranded on a sandbar.

Rebecca noticed the shark while walking along the beach and immediately called her partner, Josh, to bring a drone. The aerial view helped them see just how serious the situation was.

The great white had been pushed into shallow water and was struggling as the waves receded.

A wave had carried the shark onto a sandbar, leaving the enormous animal unable to return to deeper water.

Rather than simply watching, Rebecca and Josh contacted wildlife authorities for guidance. They then began working with the waves to try to move the shark back toward the ocean.

The rescue was far more difficult than Rebecca initially expected. The shark was extremely heavy, and repeatedly pushing it toward deeper water was exhausting.

After seeing what was happening, two passing fishermen and a biker stopped to help. The group of four continued working together as they waited for the right waves.

The rescuers spent almost two hours trying to get the shark into a position where the incoming surf could carry it away from the sandbar.

They could not simply drag the animal into the ocean. Instead, they had to work with the waves and wait for an opportunity to give the shark enough momentum to swim away on its own.

After several attempts, three large waves arrived. The shark eventually caught the second wave and managed to swim back into deeper water.

For Rebecca, the moment was overwhelming. After spending so long trying to save the stranded animal, she was left in tears as the great white finally disappeared back into the ocean.

The emotional rescue turned an unexpected beach encounter into a remarkable story of teamwork and compassion.
